In this Time Travel Trope, the Time Traveler decides to impress his "uncivilized" friends with the awe and majesty of music from the future. Often this involves an electric guitar.

This will traditionally have one of two affects:

• The locals will be horrified by modern music, and act like it was a Boomstick or Thing Man Was Not Meant To Hear.
• Be completely "wowed" by the performance, and restructure their society around the memes it brought to them.

Game and Story Use

• Neat way to reward characters for taking "useless" skills like performance. Give them the spotlight and make such skills unexpectedly powerful in the past. Of course, there's some chance this will result in Temporal Paradox if Rock'n'Roll hadn't been invented yet.
  • Hmm, I guess my Chronomancer should pick up a couple levels of Bard.
