An Adventurer Is You

An Adventurer Is You is the name of gaming trope where the players are various heroic, exciting or barbarous characters that kill monsters, gather treasure, save the day, and/or set themselves up as petty dictators. The term "adventurer" has a lot of lattitude and leeway in it's definition.

As the page over at TV Tropes Wiki points out, adventurers tend to be split up into several basic combat roles / character niches. The list they compiled (which is heavily videogame-influenced) includes:
