Ancient tsunami 'hit New York'

Summary

May 3, 2009: Archaeologists have determined that approximately 2,300 years ago a tsunami hit the New York City region. This was determined by out-of-place elements and debris in the sediments. The trigger may have been an underwater earthquake or possibly an asteroid impact.
