Basic Information
The Ancient World is the nations and cultures of Ancient History. This era lies snuggly with Prehistory on one side and the Middle Ages on the other. Roughly, the Ancient World corresponds to the time frame from the 30th Century BC to the 5th Century AD.
This includes the Bronze Age, the Iron Age, and the parts of the stone age for which there exist historical records.
