Bloop
Basic Information
The Bloop was an underwater acoustic phenomenon spotted in the summer of 1997 in the southern Pacific Ocean, off the southwestern coast of South America, by equipment of the United States Navy. It was audible over a distance of 5,000 km, and while it matched the audio profile of living creatures, it would have been much larger than even a blue whale to make that sound.

Game and Story Use
- An Eldritch Abomination, no doubt.
- Or at least some other giant sea animal unknown to humanity.
- Or perhaps the signature of an underwater sonic weapon devised by some madman in a submarine.
