Game and Story Use

  • A Cyberpunk Megacorp could use a similar tactic if it has financial difficulties - it could pay for its own debt with "corporate money" which can only be used to buy their own (shoddy and overpriced) products, but insist that it will be paid in "normal money" for other business transactions.
  • Similarly in the Western Genre a company town of one kind or another may issue a company scrip that can only be spent on a few, very specific things and isn't acceptable for most other kinds of transaction - even by those that issue it.
