Chameleon

Basic Information

Chameleons are a type of lizard with independently mobile eyes. They have long thin tongues that they can whip out in a hurry. Their feet and toes are adapted for climbing. Some species even have prehensile tails.

Some species can change color. They may do this for camouflage, but also to scare off predators, for courting rituals, or for temperature regulation. The colors available vary from species to species.

• A chameleon has a few things in common with an octopus, such as color change and having multiple ways to grab a hold of things. This suggests ideas for an hybrid monster.
• A chameleon might make a cute familiar.
