A Class B Star is a large bright blue star, typically 2 to 16 times the size of our own sun. (See also Blue Giant and Blue Supergiant.) They burn quickly and don't last for long (on the astronomical scale, that is). They are often found in giant molecular clouds. Roughly 1 in every 800 stars is a Class B.
