Cosmic Horror
That is not dead which can eternal lie,
And with strange aeons even death may die.
- H. P. Lovecraft, The Call Of Cthulhu (1926)
Basic Information
Cosmic horror is a genre of horror where humans are as insects beneath vast, incomprehensibly powerful and alien entities. Ultimately, humanity is very likely doomed in such a world, and there is little that humans can do about it.
