Dyson Net

Basic Information

A Dyson Net would basically be a giant net of cables and wires encircling a star. Solar collectors are hung from the net. This may be a way to get higher efficiency out of a Dyson Swarm or Dyson Bubble, or a step towards converting a Dyson Bubble into a Dyson Shell. It's probably most stable if the net is suspended from the Statites of a Dyson Bubble, not drifting loose in space nor attached to rapidly orbiting satellites.

• A Space Whale has become entangled in the Dyson Net, threatening to collapse the entire bubble.
  • Or the net was deployed intentionally to catch such creatures.
