Film
Basic Information
The term Film is used to cover a wide variety of Motion Pictures. It's more pretentious than "Movies", less so than "Cinema". The name comes from the fact that for much of the first century of motion pictures they were shot exclusively on photographic film. Film is arguably the chief form of popular entertainment through most of the 20th Century.
