Basic Information

A fire balloon was a hydrogen balloon with incendiary or bombs attached. Fire balloons were developed by Japan to attack the western United States during World War II by having the balloons float all the way over the Pacific Ocean.

This technology isn't very high-tech, and could conceivably be used in a fantasy setting against fortifications and other countries.
- Especially if the attackers have some way of controlling or influencing the prevailing winds.
