Finally, Wikidot.Com has installed a decent Random Page function in its software. You can see an application on the main page - links to 10 randomly selected Wikidot.Com pages.
And since you can choose random pages by tags, I can see a bunch of very interesting applications:
- Random years from the timeline.
- Random days from the list of days in the year.
- Random news stories/events.
And in combination with the Tropes section, a couple of big ones:
- Random characters, using the various characters in combination with the characterization tropes
- Random adventures, using random settings and plots, complete with characters (see above) to populate it.
Of course, this is going to involve an amazing amount of effort… but I think this is going to be well worth it. Don't you agree?
EDIT: Oh, and tell me how you like the new layout of the front page, while you are at it…
