How Do We Want to Handle This?

When I set up the Metagaming Tropes page, I didn't realize there was a section of the TV Tropes Wiki that covered the same material. I'm still not overly familiar with TV Tropes, and I'm not entirely sure I want to be, since every time I go there I wind up wasting at least an hour! Anyway, when I went back and looked at the Tabletop Games section, I saw that it has a lot of overlap with what I set up.

So I guess my question is this: Do we go with two separate pages that do roughly the same thing, or do we want to combine them?

Heh. You think that's? Bad? I just finished compiling a Kindle ebook version of the TV Tropes Wiki a few hours ago… ;)

Do we go with two separate pages that do roughly the same thing, or do we want to combine them?

Combining them probably makes sense - the two pages do seem somewhat redundant.

Yeah, I think you're right. Okay, then I'll take the bits from my page that aren't already on Tabletop Games and add them; maybe marking them to show that they are not reflected in the TV Tropes Wiki.

Of course it's possible that once I take a look at 'em, I'll find out that ALL the entries I came up with for my page are already on TV Tropes.

*sigh* Looks like I know how I'm going to spend my morning.

I've tried to do some fixing up, and I'm afraid I've messed up the links.

I found one of the Tabletop Games tropes entitled "Role Playing Terms", and so I tried just renaming "Metagaming Tropes" that. And I also tried renaming "Abbreviations" as "RPG Abbreviations" because I thought it was clearer. But now I can't get other pages to link to "RPG Abbreviations" unless I call it "Abbreviations".

I'm confused. Maybe I better step away before I muck things up further.
