I'm really kind of proud of this page, having combined and reconciled several sources into one timeline. At the same time, I worry that it's just too much information and difficult for anyone to digest. Would it help if I broke it up into multiple pages?
I'm thinking I could make pages titled Hours after the Apocalypse, Days after the Apocalypse, Centuries after the Apocalypse, etc, and just use this page as an index between them. Then I'd make sure each page stood on it's own - so you if you wanted to know what the earth is like 100 years after the zombie plague wipes out mankind, you just read the 100 years after the Apocalypse page, and not have to read all the stuff that happens in the first couple hours or days. That seems like it'd be more useful, but it's also a fair amount of work, so I'd rather not do it unless others feel this page (as-is) is too dense / lengthy / intimidating.
I could then probably devote a little more word count (possibly again organized into separate pages) to exploring how different types of disaster scenarios might alter the basics. Would that be helpful, or am I just making needless work for myself?
I'd be interested in hearing if others find this page useful, and whether or not the clutter / word-count puts you off.
