The Lost Cause: Where Should It Go

Some time ago, I was re-reading Kidnapped and thought we should have an entry about the Jacobites; and thought that a page about Lost Causes in general might be good. I'm not exactly sure, though where it should be linked. I called it a Revenge Trope, but I'm not sure if that's the best root for it. Any thoughts, guys?
