Dealing with spammers

As of late, I've been on the warpath with a particularly annoying spammer who has hit several of my wikis - as detailed here and here. He has hit some pages in the Arcana Wiki, but he has been more active elsewhere.
However, I have a week of vacation coming up soon - and four more in August. Thus, I am relying on all of you to keep the spammers away:
- Obviously, if you see spam revert it immediately. Don't bother with editing the page source - use the page history to reverse the spammer's changes.
- Report the user profile used for the spam to the Spambot Death Wall.
- If you have admin access and you notice that the same page is hit more than once, use the "page lock" function in the page options to limit editing to moderators and admins only. This is annoying, but unfortunately the only way of keeping this particular spammer at bay.
