I wrote a cynical, yet honest commentary of my hometown, which was removed, and I was just curious what the ground rules were on style of article

This commentary? It hasn't been removed, unless you re-added it yourself. That said, there are a lot of assertions in the article and absolutely no independently verifiable sources citted. As when posting to Wikipedia, I believe that we are supposed at least attempt to validate claims when posting to the Arcane Wiki. Also, I do not think that entries are supposed to serve as editorial pieces but, rather, factual articles (as per Wikipedia).

I wrote all that from knowledge I've collected over the 18 years I've lived here XD there could probably be some correcting done though…

I realize that you lived there for a long time, but such things as your opinions on the homeless population having it made are not verifiable facts. Not all of what you assert is opinion, but those things that can't be independently confirmed by citing sources other than you own observations are and, thus, fall outside the stated scope of the Arcana Wiki as I understand it.
