"God" Bear

Basic Information

Known to the local aboriginees as Trousers-pulled-down¹ (due to the appearance of the fur on its back legs) the "God" Bear is a giant bear said to be native to the Kamchatka penninsula in Siberia. There is no official confirmation that this bear exists, putting it firmly into cryptid territory, but some very odd looking bearskins have been brought out of the area and theories suggest that it may be a relic population of one of the pleistocene bears extinct elsewhere on the planet.

Although a cryptid, this animal has been tentatively named as "Bergman's Bear" (Ursus arctos piscator) … other details are in dispute.
