Game and Story Use

  • Disturbing the remains might have released a vengeful spirit.
  • The time when the Sahara was still fertile might be a good setting for a Time Of Myths campaign.
    • The event that caused the Sahara to turn into a desert might be either the focal point of the campaign, or a gradual background process that turns the setting into a The End Of The World As We Know It scenario.
  • In other settings, finding something in a desert that indicates a green period could lead to further discoveries.
    • A good tie-in might be with those who suggest that the Sphynx of Giza is much older than nearby Pyramids and built by an earlier civilisation - citing alleged signs of rain erosion and similar things. A green Sahara might have been host to much greater civilisations than the Kiffians.
