Groundhog Day Loop
Basic Information
In this Time Travel Trope, a character relives the same period of time (usually exactly one day) again and again. Just as grief has seven stages, the Ground Hog Day Loop has three:
- Confusion. Wait, didn't this already happen yesterday? Doesn't this seem familiar to you? What's going on? Is this some kind of joke?
- Experimentation. Playing around with fore-knowledge, unburdening your soul, doing things you'd never try if you weren't certain that tomorrow they'll be erased.
- Solution. Figuring out what's causing the loop, and how to stop it.

Game and Story Use
- To run this sort of scenario, you'll need pretty extensive notes, most likely including a time-line of the day in question. Leave room for adding more details - the PCs are certain to improvise, explore places you haven't seen yet, and then revisit those moments to mess with them further on subsequent days of the loop.
