Basic Information

February 27, 2004: A book covered in human skin thought to have belonged to one of the co-conspirators in Guy Fawke's Gunpowder Plot of 1605 has been auctioned off. It is entitled: "A True And Perfect Relation Of The Whole Proceedings Against The Late Most Barbarous Traitors, Garnet A Jesuit And His Confederates". Marks on the cover might indicate that the victim had been tortured.
