Basic Information

An Iguana is large lizard native to Central America, South America and the Caribbean. Feral, introduced populations of iguanas - especially the more common green species - have also established in suitable habitats around the world. They can grow up to 6 feet (nearly 2 meters) in length. Despite their somewhat fierce appearance, the entire genus are exclusively herbivorous. Somewhat unsurprisingly they are hunted by humans for food - both as meat and for their eggs.

Fun fact: They have a third eye! This parietal eye is on the top of their head, and rather than having full vision, it only detects light and dark, but it's useful to warn them when a predator is above and about to swoop down. It also
