Summary
On August 21, 1955, several people living on a farmhouse between a hamlet called Kelly and the town of Hopkinsville, Kentucky first spotted strange lights in the west shaped similar to a flying saucer. Later that night they were terrorized by small, "gremlin"-like creatures (later called the "Hopkinsville Goblins") which they described as "around three feet tall, with upright pointed ears, thin limbs (their legs were said to be almost in a state of atrophy), long arms and claw-like hands or talons." They sometimes even floated above the ground and walked with strange, swaying motions. They never entered the house but appeared at windows. Attempts to shoot with with shotguns and rifles only caused them to be knocked back.
They vanished when the local police came around after frantic emergency calls, but returned later until vanishing just before dawn.

- Given their claws, these don't seem to be the typical Greys. Perhaps a special variant bred to create terror? Maybe they really are of the same type as the World War II gremlins…
