A laser microphone is a surveillance device that uses a laser to measure the vibrations of distant objects (such as a window) and translate those vibrations into sound - allowing the user to eavesdrop on far-away conversations.

- This is a standard technique of modern-day surveillance - so don't be surprised when the PCs want to use one. Likewise, the PCs shouldn't be surprised when this is used on them.
