Basic Information
Majestic 12 is an alleged secret American government agency that was founded in 1947 in the aftermath of the Roswell UFO incident to investigate UFO activity - and cover it up.
It is also known under the names Majic 12, Majestic Trust, M12, MJ 12, MJ XII and/or Majority 12. MJ12 was (supposedly) formed in 1947 by US President Harry S. Truman. The name stems from the original 12 member panel, composed of 6 civilian scientists and 6 representatives of the US Military / Intelligence Community.
Names that have been linked with MJ12 include Dr. Vannevar Bush, Secretary of Defense James Forrestal, Robert Oppenheimer, Albert Einstein, and Wernher von Braun, and many of the past directors of the CIA.

- It is pretty much inevitable that this organization will show up in a modern-day campaign centered on UFO lore or government conspiracies. Delta Green is an early example.
- There could be multiple groups of 12 luminaries (perhaps the PCs being one such group), each thinking they alone were the only 12 people entrusted with the whole truth about UFOs.
- MJ12 could be infiltrated by Aliens in order to direct US response to a future invasion.
