Mexican Investigators trying to identify 72 bodies found near border
Summary
August 26, 2010: A wounded man wandered up to a military roadblock in Mexico, and said he'd been shot by a gang. The Navy raided the compound he'd been held prisoner at, and, after a battle against the members of a drug cartel there, discovered the bodies of 72 immigrants the gang had killed. Also found at the site were 21 rifles and other military supplies stored by the gang.
About a month earlier, authorities had found 51 bodies in 9 mass graves in a nearby state.

- In the real world, the gangs are believed to be kidnapping and indoctrinating immigrants because the recent split between the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas, combined with Mexico's 4-year war against organized crime, has depleted the manpower and resources of the gangs.
