Mysterious Metal Monolith In Utah Desert Suddenly Vanishes

Summary

November 27, 2020: Just a few days after being discovered in a remote canyon in Utah, the mysterious metal monolith has vanished. It was originally found on November 23 (see Helicopter pilot finds strange monolith in remote part of Utah for details). A buried metal triangle was left where the 12-foot prism once stood.

The article adds that people using archived satellite images have determined that the monolith was placed several years before its discovery. It was erected sometime in 2015 or 2016.

Thus far, no one has admitted to installing or removing it.

• Vanished, or retracted into the earth? According to the article, there's a submerged metal triangle left on the spot where the monolith had been. Perhaps the rest of the monolith is underground now, where it's harder for us to spy on it or interfere with it's mission.
  • Perhaps it's a secret elevator to the hollow earth.
• Or maybe it launched into space, and the thing left behind is a launch pad/landing pad.
• The article mentions it was near a place where WestWorld was filming. Some sort of publicity stunt would be a boring answer to the big mystery, but it could be a decent red herring or masquerade veil out, and if you have a favorite actor from the show you could have them "guest star" as a minor part of the conspiracy.
