Mystery Ocean Glow Confirmed In Satellite Photos

Summary

October 5, 2005: Newly released satellite images confirm an event in 1995 where a vast region of the Indian Ocean - approximately as large as Connecticut - glows mysteriously at night. The phenomenon is suspected to be caused by phosphorescent bacteria, but for them to accumulate in quantities large enough to be seen from space, they would have needed to feed on vast amounts of organic matter.

  • Perhaps a truly vast sea creature - likely an Eldritch Abomination was killed this year in the Indian Ocean, and the bacteria have been feasting on the released remains.
