Nils Olav

Basic Information

Nils Olav is a penguin who lives in Edinburgh Zoo in Edinburgh, Scotland. He is the mascot and Colonel-in-Chief of the Norwegian King's Guard. On August 15, 2008 he attained knighthood.

• Wouldn't it be fun if the PCs joined a military unit, only to learn that an animal (penguin or otherwise) is technically a superior officer?
  • It's even more fun if one of the PCs accidentally managed to make it angry… which won't look good with their fellow soldiers and their human superior officers….
