Ozark Howler

Basic Information

The Ozark Howler, sometimes also called the Ozark Black Howler, is a mythological creature allegedly living in remote regions of Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas. It is typically described as a black cat-like being the size of a bear, although others have speculated on their links to black dogs of British myth. It is named after its distinctive cry, which sounds like a mix between the cries of a wolf and an elk.
