Basic Information
A Peat Bog is a stagnant wetland with acidic soil and relatively little plant life (mostly moss and fungus, and sometimes venus flytrap or other carnivorous plants). It also has a high peat content, which is to say that there a lot of slowly decaying plant matter in the water. Professionals you might meet in a Peat Bog in pre-modern times include the leech-collector, bog iron hunter, and fueller.
This is also the natural habitat of the bog-mummy and the environment in which bog butter is brewed.
