Rocket Scientists Shoot Down Mosquitoes With Lasers

Summary

March 14, 2009: Scientists formerly working on the Strategic Defense Initiative are now working on a laser system designed to shoot down large numbers of mosquitoes. Test systems are able to target individual mosquitoes from 100 feet away. The goal is to use this laser system to fight malaria.
