Single Action Revolver
rating: 0+x

Basic Information

A Revolver is said to be Single-Action if you must manually cock the hammer (typically with your thumb) before each shot. In this way, the hammer functions like a Safety. It also means a lighter trigger pull, and slightly improved accuracy, when compared to a Double-Action Revolver. However, it doesn't fire as fast as a double-action counterpart, since you must use your thumb or second hand to cock the gun after every shot.

A single-action revolver is the only type of gun that allows you to Fan The Hammer. This more than makes up for lost speed, but at a serious reduction in accuracy and probable waste of ammo.
