Basic Information

An AI or group of AIs has been tasked with protecting humankind, and has decided that the best way to do this is by ruling humanity - whether such help is wanted or not. After all, it's for your own good. If you resist, it only proves to the AI(s) that you are a danger to yourself and others thus marking you for extermination. So be a good little human and do as the AIs say.

Game and Story Use

  • The PCs could be rebels fighting against the machine in order to free the human race, or human agents of the AI(s) tasked with hunting the terrorists who seek to destroy humanity's great benefactor(s).
  • While those living on the inner system planets enjoy untold luxuries the like of which 21st century man had never dreamed of as long they obey the AI(s), life on the frontier life is harder. But it is also more free. In between the civilized worlds and the uncharted wilds, you struggle to make a living and against all sorts of lawlessness that would set the march of civilization back - from rebels to bandits to rogue AIs.
