Basic Information

Uranus is the seventh planet from the Sun, and the third-largest and fourth most massive planet in the Solar System. It is sometimes categorized as a gas giant or Jovian planet. However, since Uranus and Neptune are colder and have a different chemical composition than Jupiter and Saturn they are sometimes categorized as ice giants instead.
