Might I suggest, though, that when you're posting a forum discussion topic that you use the appropriate sub-forum. Yes, I'm being pedantic and nit-picky, but as sloppy as I am in real life, I like things to be in their place.

If you wanted to ask about cross-overs in comics, movies, television or other media, perhaps you could start a new thread in the General Off-Topic sub-forum.

FYI, I've been fighting through a ton of "500 internal server error" and "502 bad gateway" errors on arcanawiki in the last few minutes, so it may be that wikidot is having server problems beyond our missing pages.

In an attempt to fix it, I created a blank page with that name and added a module, [[module SiteChanges]], but I don't think that was actually the correct module. The page I just made seems to be identical to the "recent changes" page instead of recreating "100 newest pages".

Jhubert, if you've got a backup of the site you can reference, can you take a moment to track down the correct code for the "100 newest pages" page?

I think I will wait a day or two if this problem is fixed on its own, then report to the Wikidot.com authorities.

EDIT #4: Done. There's a "magic" tab on the top navigation bar, and quarks letter to first-time visitors is on the main page now.

Should we have another one for "magic" to go along side our "science" and "technology" ones?

Welcome! We're glad you're here and hope you find stuff on our site you find useful and interesting, or at least weird. You'll note that, like the Other Wiki, our pages are liberally peppered with links to other pages. These come in two flavors: Blue Links and Red Links. The Blue Links will take you to other pages on this site. (Except for the Dark Blue Links which go to other places outside Arcana Wiki) The Red Links are placeholders for pages we haven't created yet. There are a lot of 'em. We're ambitious. So if you click on one of the Red Links, it will assume you want to create a new page. This is important:

Do Not Click on a Red Link Unless You Wish to Create A New Page.

If you do wish to create a new page, you are welcome to do this; we're happy to add new material. But we suggest that before doing so you read What To Add To The Arcana Wiki first.

Or something like this. It might cut down on the weird Anonymous Stubs we occasionally get.

Today there was a new weird occurrence which might be a prequel to another spam attack: Someone created the List Of Academic And Scientific Professions page. This page was basically empty, but the code for the "Rate" module was mangled:

Since we presumably want to create this page anyway, I am willing to let this slide for once. But if more events like this occur, we might have to disable anonymous edits after all. Which I want to avoid because I want to keep the Arcana Wiki as open as possible, but ultimately there might be no other way…

Since Bastaboy and his anonymous clone keep reverting this page to a version with a spam link, we may need to report him to wikidot and set the site to not take anonymous edits for a while.

Maybe it's not displaying right on my computer? The "10 random pages" section has only 8 pages listed, and they're in huge rectangles with just a tiny bit of text in each rectangle - tons of wasted space.

Plus it's listing redirect pages, so several of the boxes are filled with things like "[This template is just for use in setting up automatic redirects to other pages. This is useful when a page you've created has several possible names or spellings, none of which have any functional…"

If you can set it to not list redirect pages, days, years, and stubs, then it might be worth the eyesore of the layout, the conspicuous wasted space, and the way it messes up the flow of the text off to the right. But as is, I really don't like it.

Generally, there shouldn't be any external links on the start page - though they are entirely appropriate in the "sources" section of other pages (such as the Campaign Setting page).
